Acuma dacă vă spun (deşi am mai făcut-o) că cei doi McDonagh sunt fraţi (Martin e mezinul şi-are filme mai celebre) prezenţa lui Gleeson, cel mai important actor irlandez contemporan, that's a fact, în două scene aproape identice, nu mai pare aşa de întâmplătoare, ba devine chiar logică, nu? Bine, nu e prea relevant răspunsul, însă contextul trebuia prezentat. Aşa cum merită consemnate atât continuarea discuţiei pe marginea tabloului lui Bosch din primul film, cât şi cea din Calvary, mai ales că asta din urmă e dublată şi de un gest oarecum total neaşteptat, kinky. Dar se ştie: cei doi fraţi, care-şi scriu singuri scenariile, au un umor foarte aparte, coroziv & direct, şi o evidentă plăcere de a surprinde sau sfida (ca să nu spun şoca).

Ray (Colin Farrell): No. What's that then?
Ken: Well, it's, you know, the final day on Earth, when mankind will be judged for the crimes they've committed and that.
Ray: Oh! And see who gets into heaven and who gets into hell and all that.
Ken: Yeah. And what's the other place?
Ray: Purgatory.
Ken: Purgatory... what's that?
Ray: Purgatory's kind of like the in-betweeny one. You weren't really shit, but you weren't all that great either. Like Tottenham.
Ray: Do you believe in all that stuff, Ken?
Ken: About Tottenham?
